Account Deletion

You can delete your Prompt Lyfe account at any time. This page explains exactly what happens when you do, and how to do it both from inside the app and (if you cannot access the app) by contacting us directly.

Delete from inside the app (recommended)

1. Open the Prompt Lyfe app on Android or in your browser.
2. Sign in to the account you want to delete.
3. Tap your email address in the top-right corner.
4. Choose Delete account from the menu.
5. Confirm by re-entering your password and typing DELETE.
6. Tap Permanently delete account.

The deletion is immediate. You will be signed out and can no longer sign back in with that account.

Delete by request (if you cannot access the app)

If you have lost access to your account or cannot use the in-app flow, send an email to promptlyfe@gmail.com from the email address associated with the account, with the subject line: "Delete my Prompt Lyfe account".

We will verify the request and complete deletion within 30 days. We may need to ask follow-up questions to confirm your identity before deleting the account.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in credentials (email + hashed password) in Firebase Authentication.
• Your usage profile in Firestore: subscription tier, monthly prompt counter, total prompt count, last reset date.

What may be retained

• Backups — residual data in Firebase's automated backups is purged within 30 days.
• Anonymized error logs and usage metrics — stripped of personally identifying information, retained for up to 90 days for security and reliability.
• Records required by law — purchase or tax records we are legally required to retain (e.g., for accounting), held for the period required by law.
• Google Play purchase records — controlled by Google, not by us.

Active subscriptions

Deleting your Prompt Lyfe account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. To cancel a subscription:

1. Open the Google Play Store app.
2. Tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
3. Select Prompt Lyfe and tap Cancel subscription.

Refunds, where applicable, are governed by Google Play's refund policy.
